Let us introduce ourselves! Don't be scared.
Wait! Don't run away! We're actually quite nice. Students created us out of clay and their wild imaginations. We'd love to chat! Meet us on Art, Music, and Technology Night on May 6th at the Pine Glen School. We'll tell you all our stories-literally. Don't know what we mean? Ask your third grader.* *More details about this coming soon- get your smart device ready! Phew! It's getting smelly in the art room. Third graders took off one of their sneakers and drew it on scratch boards they made themselves. Students chose either warm or cool colors to fill in their background designs. Then Ms. Fallon shocked them by pouring black paint all over their artwork! Students completely covered over their designs in the black paint. Once their artwork was dry, students began scratching away at the paint to reveal the bold colors beneath the surface. Students drew the patterns and lines on the soles of their sneakers. and selected one design to magnify in the background. Check out these students hard at work! Third graders cut out spooky shapes. They composed the shapes on the page to create a haunted night landscape. Ms. Fallon sprayed the entire mural in gold paint. After the paint dried, the stencils were peeled away leaving the "ghost" of the image behind. These collaborative projects were on display at the P.T.O.'s funded Pine Glen's Halloween Dance.
