Gather 'round boys and girls for an amazing show! We will dazzle you with our ability to make a curved line using only straight lines. It's true! No curved lines were used in the making of these artworks. Look close- see if you can look beyond the illusion.
We've been baking, oops, we mean making clay cupcakes. Stay tuned for when the cupcakes are ready to be cooked, oops, we mean fired in the kiln.
These aren't typical snowflakes! Bright and bold! Cool and calm. We selected our colors to make dazzling snowflake designs. We cut out shapes of varying sizes. Check out our artwork's radial symmetry!
Birds of prey flew in from the Burlington Science Center. We used chalk to draw these owls and hawks from observation. Using our imaginations, we created backgrounds. The final pieces are being saved for the art show. We also created stunning frames for each piece. Check in later for the finished works!
Students did the Monster Mash! These crazy creatures look their best when students flip back and forth to create new combinations never imagined before. Take a look! We read the book One Red Dot: A Pop-Up Book for Children of All Ages by David A. Carter. Each page of the book used paper pop-ups in surprising, fun ways to get (and keep!) the reader's attention. Hidden on each page was one red dot. We took up the challenge- creating our own scrap paper sculptures to hide our one red dot. Can you find it? |
