Students practiced the Japanese art of Origami. They folded peace cranes and together discussed what it means to have peace, to be peaceful, and the definition of peace. They read many quotes about peace from varying points of view and then wrote their own thoughts about peace and its purpose in the world. On Art, Music, and Technology night, these cranes will be individually strung and hung up on display. Your student's thoughts will also be available to hear by scanning a QR code with your smart device (iPod, tablet, iPad, iPhone, and Android). You can listen to the artist speak their own thoughts and experiences of peace. More information on the QR codes coming soon- stay tuned!
