I wanted to do a cartoon, and wanted to use fiery colors, so I sketched the girl. Then, to make it look cooler, I drew a phoenix in the back. The feathers poking from under the dress at the bottoms are part of the bird. Also the feet are hidden behind the dress. So that's why you can't see them.

Each grade level homeroom worked together competing in a school wide door decorating contest. Each classroom decorated their door with a festive winter theme! As the art teacher, I loved this idea! So I made my own winter themed doors. Carefully look at the snowflakes- do you see them? Each snowflake is a character from the movie blockbuster Star Wars or Frozen.
I used an Exacto knife over cardboard and some snowflake templates from http://www.anthonyherreradesigns.com/. These templates are not for younger students but if there are any parents feeling inspired like I was, give it a try! Dear ms.fallon,
